Solar cables are specially engineered electrical cables used in photovoltaic (PV) power systems. They are designed to connect solar panels with other components such as inverters, batteries, and distribution units. These cables are built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, including UV radiation, moisture, and extreme temperatures, making them ideal for outdoor installations.
Solar cables operate efficiently across a wide temperature range and offer high durability over long periods. They are available in various sizes ranging from 0.5 SQMM to 240 SQMM to suit different power and installation requirements.
Solar cables are generally available in three different types, depending on their specific application and installation needs.
· DC Solar Cables
These cables are used to connect solar panels to the inverter. They carry direct current (DC) generated by the solar panels and are designed for high UV resistance and durability.
· AC Solar Cables
These cables are used after the inverter to carry alternating current (AC) to the main electrical panel or grid. They are suitable for indoor as well as outdoor applications.
· Earthing (Grounding) Cables
These cables are used for safety purposes. They help in grounding the solar system to prevent electrical shocks and protect the system from lightning and fault currents.
